Terror!

“Dressed in the lion's skin, the ass spread terror far and wide”

You allow your child to go on what you are sure is a safe and fun filled holiday on what you believe is a secure place, then a few days latter you are sitting by the TV, or a neighbour or friend knocks on the door ... and instead of your child, you get a body mutilated with bullet holes instead! ... and your loved and much cherished one is gone forever! I am speechless on how that feels. A a parent's worst nightmare becoming reality just because some stranger thought he had a right to do so ... and the pointless, obscene and utter cruelty and evil with which this macabre act was planned then mercilessly carried out too! :-(

And it's not only your child, but the utter destruction in the heart of an unsuspecting peaceful community followed by the most horrific attack on young innocence too ... 76 mostly young and aspiring children fell victims to one lone evil individual who thought it his right to destroy and terminate life on such a grand and merciless scale. Then they catch the man, and he says that he is a 'Christian'! ... one who decided to launch a solo war against Muslims, or those whom he perceives are trying to change Europe! ... and it's gob smacking!

And I thought, why the unprecedented attack on his own people? Why didn't he go for the perceived 'enemy' then?! Aren't they the ones whom he thinks are trying to do what he does not like and so are the ones worthy of his attention? But no, let's kill our own so that they in turn can revolt against the Muslims in their midst! ... and where is the logic in that?! How can killing one's own lead the launching of war on innocent others? ... but then 'reason' never applies to evil and the resulting murderous acts of terrorism!

Now this man is in prison awaiting trial. His solicitor tried to claim insanity but that has been rejected. And I keep on wondering; if there was no Muslims in Norway, would this man be a loving and law abiding citizen? ... and I don't know the answer to that. One thing is clear though, is that he who cold bloodedly plans for years and years then goes on an evil rampage to kill his own, mostly children too, is evil and not insane. Why did he become so evil or what other factors in his own past and life made him so devoid of humanity, is but another aspect for the investigating experts to consider too.

What I find freighting too is that this man claims to be a 'Christian', which is much like those criminals who commit similar acts of destruction and mass maiming and murder then claim to be 'Muslims' ... there are many similarities on how they carry out their heinous acts too - bombs to cause the most destruction to deliberately cause confusion and instill fear, random killing of unsuspecting innocent civilians, deliberate cause of carnage ... etc, etc, then claim religion told them to behave like that of a devil! ... and, no, those monsters are not religious, far from it. In fact, Christianity and Islam who both advocate love, peace and harmony are innocent of their macabre deeds! At the very least because one of the most fundamental pillars of any religion is the sanctity of life! That the killing of one innocent man is like killing the whole of humanity. That principal is not only broken when despicable acts of terror are carried out anywhere by those heartless criminals, but instead, are thrown to the wall when the devil inside those individuals takes over!

And it is that association between criminality and religion what I would hope to see changed when tackling these evil and devoid of any humanity acts in the future. I hope for serious efforts to separate these heinous acts from religion and the teachings of same who, although come under differing names, they all have the same peaceful message, that which aims to protect and not to destroy humanity. We need to acknowledge that those criminals commit their atrocities because they are evil in nature and because they have no regard whatsoever for religion. Once this is done, tackling the evil acts themselves will then become achievable goals, but not before then. This man who caused all this destruction and mass murder is not a Christian, but his actions are those of the devil and are far, far away from the religion of 'Love'. This man's actions were committed in the name of 'hate', even of himself then of his own people before that hate of his perceived 'enemy' ... this is anti Christian. Same goes for those who claim to be Muslims, then go on the rampage to commit acts of hate and evil anywhere in the world to suit 'themselves' and their sick ideologies.

And it this association between criminality and religion that also causes fear to those watching who are susceptible to the wrong influence and who are not informed about the real teachings of one religion or another, and hence, make them want to take arms to fend off the wrongly perceived danger and maybe end up acting in the wrong way too. Those, when they keep hearing that one religious teaching or another is evil, they will too believe that notion in the end, regardless of the crazy absence of logic. Prejudice, terror and the like are divisive evils that are incapable of comprehending logic!

Then there is the forever feeding of fire with fuel to those without logic with words like 'crusade' for example, uttered by those with interests in promoting divisions through fear, including irresponsible and arrogant men of power too as happened before, and what do you think the reaction will be? Another, are those terrorists who call themselves Jihadists, and where the west obliges by calling them 'jihadists' too. When in fact the word Jihad means 'resistance' and is mainly about resisting urgings and temptations. The temptation to indulge in worldly luxuries as in the month of Ramadan for example, to aid modesty and doing good by giving to the needy and poor. Then there is a smaller Jihad to lawfully protect one's home and country from aggression, but never to actually start aggression themselves ... and where is this peaceful principal when those who do the opposite go on an evil endeavour to kill and maim? Those who commit criminal acts are just that; criminals that should be severely punished for their evil deeds to protect society from their ills. And BTW, I am not aware of any Arab speaking country that calls those who do commit mass criminal acts 'jihadists', but this happens only here.

What this also does is facilitate recruitment to these criminal organisations, the ultimate way to convince young, socially deprived for one reason or the other and mostly ignorant about the real aims and message of any religion, which is love, peace, tolerance and harmony, that what they would be doing is Jihad, or a high honour, when the reality is that they are being recruited to commit the most horrendous of criminal acts that are far, far away from Jihad! Terror is criminality not Jihad so please break this devious link if only to help stop the brain washing then recruitment by the devil of unsuspecting young minds ... then maybe educate the people on how religion is but one good lesson at heart, and on how to 'respect' each other's religions or otherwise too to aid peace and harmony.

And I know that there are 'a few' vocal Muslims out there who promise Islam ruling the world soon, when in fact they can not make or break :-) ... and when the very vast majority of Muslims who came and settle in the west do so because they like and appreciate those values they experience and see before their eyes ... and want them to stay ... just how they are ...

Even Muslim countries do not want Islamic rule themselves, simply because they are too strict, but even the strictest of those do lots of charitable work for their societies, like the Muslim Brotherhood, for example, who were/are never terrorists as far as I am aware ... so, those who object to their rule do so because they are just that; strict, and because they don't believe in mixing politics with religion as this may hinder world integration and development ... but there are a few other religious, of differing denominations, states in the world ... and I hope that will change soon too.

So, let's all join together to say no to terror, and hope together for ...

Peace, prosperity and hope to the world ....

Should killers be given a platform? [click]
... well, did he give his victims and now all those heart broken families a platform?... and I would also rephrase that to: should 'evil' be given a platform?

Only the unknown frightens men. But once a man has faced the unknown, that terror becomes the known.
